About the Opportunity

CentacareCQ has an opportunity for a part-time Social Support Assistant to join their dedicated Service Delivery Group Activities Team, based in Rockhampton (32hrs per fortnight).

The successful applicant will assist with organising and facilitating a range of client social support activities in line with program specifications outlined in the funding agreement and program standards.

Duties Include:

Administration Support

* Assist with room and car bookings for social groups as well as booking tables for luncheons or events that clients may be attending

* Monitor and order consumables/supplies ensuring they are regularly stocked

* Assist with designing, printing and posting flyers and calendars to clients

* Organise run sheets and transport lists for each group as well as confirming group attendance lists

* Assist with the intake and training of volunteers

Organise and Set up Group Activities

* Assist with completing venue assessments

* Shop for materials and consumables e.g. morning teas, craft, raffle prizes

* Set up materials and room preparation

* Assist with food preparation

Facilitate Group Activities

* Transport clients by car and 12 seater bus to/from/during group activity

* Encourage and assist clients to participate in activities

* Assist clients with personal care and hygiene as required

* Prepare and serve food and drinks to clients

Client Contact

* Respond to incoming calls - take bookings, cancellations, provide information to clients

* Assist with processing referrals by contacting clients and discussing group activities / assisting clients with signing up

* Contact clients regularly to confirm their bookings
